Twin Cities, Minneapolis, St. Paul Comcast Internet Down?

December 6, 2010 by Ryan McCormick 1 Comment

If you are experiencing difficulties with your internet this evening, it has been reported that Comcast is having issues with their DNS servers. You can change your DNS settings to Google’s public DNS to connect to the internet. For DNS1: 8.8.8.8 and for DNS2: 8.8.4.4

Hope this is helpful!

UPDATE:
I am in the north metro and it appears that Comcast Internet is back online. Here are some additional resources for you to use in the future:

  • What is DNS?
  • Google Public DNS
  • OpenDNS
